Re you new to wearing makeup? If so, here are some tips that may help you. This young lady is not a daily wearer but she has a routine that can help you ease in to things.
"I do not wear makeup very frequently because it is much too expensive for me to purchase but I do wear it for special occasions. Mostly I am concerned with trying to even out my skin color and make my eyes look farther apart and my nose look narrower.
First, I apply concealer to the sides of my nose and then I just apply foundation that matches my skin tone. I don't have a brand that I always buy because I like to try new products.
I usually use eyeliner to make my eyes look farther apart. I do this by applying it to the outside corners of my eyes. Some people may have a special name for this, but I don't know what it is. I just know that when I apply the eyeliner to the outside corner of my eye it draws people's attention to the sides of my face rather than to the middle and somehow that makes my eyes look like they are not so close together.
I also curl my lashes and apply mascara to both the upper and lower lashes. I believe there are many good products on the market and I am looking forward to trying their entire line.
Finding something that looks good with your skin tone can take some practice but if you go to a department store make up counter they can help you match your skin tone properly. I could help you by giving you directions on how to apply your make up but I think it would be much more useful for you to look up tutorials on YouTube.
There are tutorials on just about anything you'd like to try, and these people have been doing it a lot longer than I have. It helps to see what they do rather than just hearing about it. The best advice I can give you is to find products that complement your skin tone and then just spend some time trying new techniques.
Makeup washes off so if you make a mistake you can always try again to get the look you want. Have fun with it and don't be hard on yourself while you are learning. Also, it is important to use a finishing spray so your "face stays on" as long as you need it to. My daughter taught me that!
It really helps you to not have to reapply throughout the day. It saves a lot of money too! Finally, don't forget to wash your face each night before bed. Leaving the make up on overnight can make it hard for your skin to breathe and it may cause breakouts.
