Womens boots size 13 Lower East Side - will these winter wonders fit your big wide foot? AndreaTV shares her review.
I ordered my first pair of black, "man made material", high calf footwear from Amazon about a week before writing this post. You can pick up a pair if you click this purple link now.
I am a Prime member and they arrived in two days just like clockwork. I was a little hesitant at first since they where not officially advertised as wide width and I have what my mother used to call "Fred Flinstone feet". But after reading the reviews there were so many thick foot folks saying they fit well on them I decided to give it a try.
The first day I wore them it was raining, so I don't know how much that helped in the stretching out process, but it did take a day to wear them in. When I first planted my foot down it did fit snugly but it wasn't necessarily painful. I would compare it to the feeling your arm has if you are getting your blood pressure checked and they doctor or nurse pushes that second pump of air into the cuff.
I was also wearing Hanes crew socks. Although I would normally wear thin dress socks if I was going to work, which was my main purpose in buying the boots, I wanted to see if someone who was a little wider than me in the sole could still wear them.
The tightness slowly died down as the day went on. I left the house at around 11 am on the day after Thanksgiving. We took the twins to Castle Laser Tag in Gaithersburg to celebrate their 11th birthday even though the actual day they were born is November 27th. I stood up the whole time we were there and by the time we arrived back at home around 3pm they felt like a comfy pair of "go to" kicks.
I have room to wiggle my toes in the front of the shoe with no problem. This is a welcome relief to the last womens size 13 shoes I bought on Amazon last. They rubbed against my second toe, my longest toe, with every step and almost gave me a corn!
I was not too happy with them at all. I have had bunion surgery and corns removed about 15 years ago and "my girls" don't like to be compromised.
Are they good boots for women with calves? I am a big girl. I am 6 feet tall and over 200 pounds and I'm gonna leave it at that. I don't have the biggest leg muscles in the world but my leg circumference is 14 inches around at the fullest part.
The babies zip all the way up with no problem with my dress pants, jeggings, and skinny jeans tucked on the inside with no problem. I haven't tried them with wide leg or bootcut jeans but I don't think I would be able to zip them up c
